Post stirring it up. Trump was an unknown political entity at the time. A good many would not mock him today like they did then. Frankly, it was childish on both parts. There’s nothing wrong with saying “Two Corinthians,” but things get a bit testy with “Palms.”
The same people who will snicker when someone pronounces Job, jobb, pronounces Lot, Lott, when, in effect, it really should be pronounced with a long O, just like Job. I’m no Hebrew scholar, but both Job and Lot should be pronounced with long O. English speakers make a difference between the two, but I’ve no doubt many none blush speakers pronounce them the same, just as some speakers say Two Chronicles instead of Second Chronicles.
