Mexicans have a long history of political grifting and institutional corruption, and also assassination, so they see the strings, and are likely far more discerning about risk.
This guy probably looked at Hunter and saw an arrogant, loud-mouthed, low IQ entitled crack-head/pedo, (both father and son) who in the end would only cause big trouble for people involved with him.
