pre-industrial levels, or the 1850 to 1900 average

Let's first note that the Little Ice Age ended in 1850 so one should expect temperatures to rise up from there.

Let's also note that 1850 to 1900 is hardly "pre-industrial".

And lastly, let's point out that that the "proper" global temperature is a complete unknown and that being "two degrees" higher than an unknown number is ridiculous.

These people just make stuff up and call it science. There's a lot of that going around.

And they get paid handsomely to do it. Nice, cars, nice houses, nice areas to live etc. Fine wine and caviar

Everything they are saying about temperature levels could be true. The big question is, why should we believe this:

Earth has surpassed a critical temperature threshold that scientists have long warned could unleash the worst effects of climate change.

The implication is that all scientists say that, which is baloney. Which scientists have warned that and how exactly did they come up with that? It was likely some computer model. Is the model demonstrated to be correct? I guarantee the answer is no. Does anything validate the model?
