My guess would be that they are probably referring to the heat temp at the register...nat. gas/propane furnaces run at about 135-140 deg. while heat pumps run at about 90 deg. Heat pump must run a lot longer than gas to heat the space, thereby their comment “Gas heat seems to stay warm longer...”.
