Get a life. I posted based on an article, you asked for more so I looked up what had happened.
“Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Monday undid a looming $1.2 billion tax hike on Central Florida residents that he inadvertently imposed a year ago in a hastily passed bill meant to punish Walt Disney Co. for criticizing his so-called “Don’t Say Gay” law.”
Not only was the writer correct as to the effect on taxpayers but DeSantis was forced to cancel the scheduled dissolution of a special taxing district for the 25,000 acres owned by Disney south of Orlando, which lawmakers passed and DeSantis signed into law over a three-day span last April. Notice that there was tremendous press attention to the passing of the billl & DeSantis sunned himself in the praise of folks who said the bill showed he was a real conservative.
Strangely there was no press on the cancellation, no admission that the action was poorly planned, poorly constructed and had disasterous consequences.
You completely miss the real point in trying to slur me when you should be glad to have the information about DeSantis, which casts him in a very poor light.
By my count you posted based on two articles: one from NPR and the other the Huffington-Puffington Post.
Both expressed fears about DeSantis - in fact for a while I was scared to death DeSantis would take my grandchild's plastic rat away in a Storm-trooper raid but a year and a half later that has not happened.
And I did not see data in either article that supports your current claim: “The people in the district affective now have much higher taxes.”
