Lets hope that someone sue them for exceeding their authority, and that they get slapped down. We need to return to the constitutional fact that only congress can make federal laws.

With the latest SCOTUS rulings on “Chevron Deference,” the FCC will need to have an underlying statute passed by Congress, or else they’ll get slapped down in court.

The Government controls everything, it only took 200 or so years.

Money shot:
Carr’s letter stated, “Even in the absence of any evidence of intentional discrimination, the Biden plan states the FCC can impose potentially unbounded liability if the agency finds that some act or even failure to act happened to result in a disparate impact based on the FCC’s own judgment. Reading this theory of liability into the law conflicts with the Supreme Court’s civil rights precedent. The FCC should not adopt it.”
What’s that smell?

The FCC can create expensive trouble for ISP’s, in a wide variety of ways, if they don’t give preferential treatment to designated “oppressed individuals”.

If it gets too crappy, you stop paying for it and leave. This was always a luxury.

Captain James T. Kirk: Captain’s log, Stardate 11.16.23:

I’ve never trusted Klingons, and I never will. It seems to me our mission to escort the Chancellor of the Klingon High Council to a peace summit is problematic at best. Spock says this could be an historic occasion, and I’d like to believe him, but how on earth can we survive if the Klingons take over the internet????

5 unelected people decided this. If not overturned it’s all over for us.

"FCC would have the power to regulate customer-premises equipment, use of customer credit."

They'll say "we can't end internet discrimination without mandating the implementation of a digital ID."

The Internet is international. The FCC can’t control what I write and post from Israel anymore than the EPA can control fishing trawlers in the Baltic Sea. There’s no basis for jurisdiction.

Who asked them to decide for us?

I don’t want the government to have full control of ANYTHING.
