Lets hope that someone sue them for exceeding their authority, and that they get slapped down. We need to return to the constitutional fact that only congress can make federal laws.

With the latest SCOTUS rulings on “Chevron Deference,” the FCC will need to have an underlying statute passed by Congress, or else they’ll get slapped down in court.

I'm sure they'll be fair and balanced. NOT!
Another step towards totalitarianism.

Money shot:
Carr’s letter stated, “Even in the absence of any evidence of intentional discrimination, the Biden plan states the FCC can impose potentially unbounded liability if the agency finds that some act or even failure to act happened to result in a disparate impact based on the FCC’s own judgment. Reading this theory of liability into the law conflicts with the Supreme Court’s civil rights precedent. The FCC should not adopt it.”
What’s that smell?

Will they eventually license the Internet like the do with amateur radio operators, one which can be revoked?

The FCC can create expensive trouble for ISP’s, in a wide variety of ways, if they don’t give preferential treatment to designated “oppressed individuals”.

the Biden plan states the FCC can impose potentially unbounded liability if the agency finds that some act or even failure to act happened to result in a disparate impact based on the FCC’s own judgment. "Your actions are perhaps the most racist thing we have ever seen, and we will fine you up the wazoo."
"But I took no action!"
Your failure to act is perhaps the most racist thing we have ever seen, and we will fine you up the wazoo."

Making Internet access a right.According to Karl Marx:
"From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs"
The government decides what you have to pay based on your income and/or assets, and the government decides who gets broadband access for free.
