She was unanimously ousted when residents demanded that Gov. Brian Kemp remove her.
Franklin called the move "unlawful" and said she would still run for chairwoman.
“Today, two of my political opponents are holding a special called meeting to replace me as vice chair ,” she posted on Facebook. “This move by them will free up more of my time a month early so that I can fully commit to being elected to the chairman’s seat so that we can finally move our county forward.”
