The murky financial past of GOP dropout Tim Scott's new girlfriend has been laid bare in court papers unearthed exclusively by DailyMail.com.
Mindy Noce, 47, was accused of helping tech entrepreneur ex-husband Peter 'Jay' Noce create shell companies to hide their assets and avoid liability over a $1.2million deal gone wrong, according to documents filed in 2017.
At the same time, she was divorcing her former spouse, blaming the collapse of their marriage on his heavy drinking and opioid abuse.
Mom-of-three Noce was revealed last week as Scott's mystery girlfriend when he embraced her on stage after the Republican presidential debate in Miami.
'She was at my kickoff when I announced my candidacy back in May, Scott, 58, told ABC News.
'So the good news is we continue to have a healthy relationship, thankfully, both love the Lord and have a healthy respect for one another, and I tell you, we have a lot of fun together.'
Previously he had only referred to the interior designer and registered Republican as 'a lovely Christian girl' who enjoyed playing pickleball.
After the debate they returned to South Carolina for the weekend. Scott was seen at his new squeeze's $2.5million, five-bedroom house on exclusive Daniel Island on Friday evening and again on Saturday morning.
But then on Sunday – just four days after the debate – Scott shockingly dropped out of the race for the White House, catching even his staff off-guard with his shock announcement on Fox News.
