Certainly. However this conflict was/is engineered by OUR neocons and NATO, and it was done for profit on the one hand, and to force regime change in Moscow on the other.
The profit aspect has been wildly successful, business has never been booming better for the defense contractor I retired from.
The hopes for undermining Putin are completely dashed however. The many rounds of sanctions have injured Europe, and especially Germnay, while Russia has found new friends and new markets in BRICS and is economically stable.
It's bad enough that our neocon elite are corrupt, but their stupidity and arrogance are an unacceptable hazard.
“However this conflict was/is engineered by OUR neocons and NATO.”
The decision to invade Ukraine was entirely Putin’s. He alone bears the ultimate responsibility for this mess.

Putin took the bait and broke the NATO trap. He has the territory he wanted and his forces are dug in, and in depth. Every day the conflict continues weakens Ukraine and NATO in comparison to Russia. That is indeed a "mess", but it's not Putin's.
“Putin took the bait and broke the NATO trap.”
So why are Russian troops dying by the hundreds every week? Why did the Russian Navy abandon Crimea?
That’s kind of a strange definition of winning if you ask me.
