Faisal I bin Al-Hussein bin Ali Al-Hashemi (Hashemite dynasty) became king of what became Iraq (which was largely Shia not Sunni) in what was called the Iraq Mandate.

The League of Nations created the Mandate Palestine for 28 years 1920 to 1948 when the UN created Israel.
