Totally agree. Hopefully Christie and "nice guy" Tim Scott (who apparently has a new girlfriend!) won't be on the debate stage next time. Scott got better as the debate went on though.
Surprisingly, the NBC moderators were fair, as you said. Even in the post-debate spin room. Fox should take note...
Apparently, Megyn Kelly and a couple of other women are moderating the next debate. Described as “spicy.” Maybe they will try to vote more candidates off the island like Dana Perino failed. Stupid.
Really? Wow... first I’ve heard of that. When / where is the next debate?
NewsNation anchor Elizabeth Vargas, and Eliana Johnson, editor-in-chief of The Washington Free Beacon, will join Megyn Kelly as moderators. It will be held at the University of Alabama in the city of Tuscaloosa.
βIt will be the margarita of debates β spicy, fun and somewhat intoxicating,β Kelly added in a Republican National Committee statement.
Candidates will also need 80,000 unique donors, and at least 200 donors from each of 20 or more states and territories, the RNC said in a statement.
Unless their fortunes improve, U.S. Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie would not make the stage in Alabama.
We have a winner !!!!!!!!!!!!!
He’s a fraud top to bottom...
Like all frauds and hucksters he’ll say whatever he thinks his audience wants to hear, but doesn’t mean a single thing that actually comes out of his mouth.
Fact he’s even on the stage at all shows just how pathetic the establishment GOP is.
Vivek got the soundbite-of-the-night award for his opening salvo to Ronna.
Very true.
But he's also doing something important, by dragging out into the light on the debate stage the war in the Republican party between the donor class and Republican voters. The chair's most important job is to raise money and help win elections, two things that she's conspicuously failed to do. Vivek is pointing out that the base, which is largely with Trump at this point, isn't going to put up with an RNC that would rather lose without the deplorable Trump voters than win with them. Ironically, the Republican party always got more small donor dollars than the Democrats, and while that grass-roots fundraising never really moved the election dial, it did serve as a proxy approval rating for the party. That's not quite gone, but it's taken a severe hit in the past couple of cycles. Vivek is willing to point out that the Republican establishment emperor has no clothes. If nothing else, it's fun to see this long-simmering internal fight exposed so publicly.
Your thoughtful comment is appreciated.
Let's hope their fortunes don't improve. Especially for Governor Krispy Kreme. ;-)
NewsNation makes me nervous. They try to pass themselves off as "fair and balanced". From what I know of it, NewsNation is run by a bunch of former MSNBC leftists. Just what we need... MSNBC2.

Oh geez. I guess we'll see about that, LOL. Sounds to me like there will be a lot of yelling and screaming between candidates and moderators. Just great...
