United States military officials announced Sunday they had sent a guided missile submarine to the Middle East as the Israel-Hamas war reaches the one-month mark — even releasing a rare photo of the powerful vessel.
“On November 5, 2023, an Ohio-class submarine arrived in the US Central Command area of responsibility,” US Central Command posted on X.
The post included a photo of the Ohio-class submarine apparently traversing the Suez Canal, just north of Cairo.
The submarine can carry 154 Tomahawk missiles, each of which can hold up to 1,000 pounds of explosives in their warheads, according to Stars and Stripes.
CENTCOM’s announcement Sunday night came just hours after Iranian Defense Minister Mohammad-Reza Ashtiani warned the Biden administration to call for a cease-fire.

Currently, the U.S. has 83 nuclear-powered ships: 72 submarines, 10 aircraft carriers and one research vessel. These NPWs make up about forty percent of major U.S. naval combatants. This has been a hotspot for three generations.

It would be very difficult indeed for an SSBN to traverse the Suez Canal without somebody taking pictures.
It isn’t deep or wide, and the US pays a fee to Egypt for using the canal. Just like we do to every canal used by any shipping.
And there may be a Russian or Chinese spy watching the canal … but I bet that they just subscribe to the various shipping guides now available on the Internet.
So the question is why they used that route, where it came from and where it is going next.

Easy for this conflict to lead to war. The scattered US bases in Iraq and Syria are not supported by large conventional, mobile troop formations. Therefore it is relatively easy and safe for Iranian backed militias to attack these bases with Iranian supplied drones. Thus far they have not killed American servicemen. The damage and the extent of the wounds has not been publicized. However if American soldiers are killed, the Biden cabal will be compelled to retaliate against Iran. Then if Iran retaliates against US capital ships in the Persian Gulf with their modern Chinese made stealthy shore to ship missile batteries that line the Iranian shoreline, the escalation will become dramatic if a US ship is sunk or severely damaged. That submarine alone can rain a veritable hell on Iran’s military and other targets just using, non nuclear conventional missiles. Things will rapidly get out of hand.
