I have made this point often, right here, but not so eloquently.

The welcoming home of the Wayward Sisters, with amnesty for the boys in gray and their leaders, was a radical act of generosity and peacefulness.

It is very rare for a war to end this way.

Reversing this arrangement has been very, very costly, and it’s going to get worse.

That is why General Lee deserves the most honor. He surrendered honorably and worked twoard making peace.
