This is what general, all-purpose tolerance gets us. We tried to tell the Muslim-defenders but they wouldn't listen. Right here on FR there were people who, over the years, would defend Muslims and Islam. You know who you are.
Certainly there are some Muslims in-name-only who don't hate Jews and Christians. But those are the exceptions...the rare exceptions.
Well, the vast majority of Muslims I’ve known have been perfectly nice people. BUT, the problem with Islam is that, unlike other religions, its crazy fringe isn’t just a fringe but a fairly large plurality. There’s a difference between a 0.01% fringe and a 10 or 20% fringe — the latter being more like a *slice* and big enough to cause big problems.
