It’s nothing more than welfare for white people — including those who work for defense contractors, those who are the political lapdogs of those contractors (Lindsey Graham and Nimrata Haley and Joe Biden, for example), and even white foreigners in Ukraine.
At Lockheed, we thought in terms of a stalemate with the Soviet Union that did enrich our industry, and that was not race based — as your comment implied. Many diverse teams profited in so doing. It is true the that this is equipment was not as useful to the economy as other tools would have been. But they kept the peace for many years except for proxy wars like we are in today.
When a leader says they can end this activity— maybe we should elect him/her.
