Israeli officials say that they executed an aerial strike on a mosque inside Gaza that was being used as a command center for terrorists who were preparing to carry out “a significant and imminent terror attack.”
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it launched the attack on the command center located under the Al-Ansar Mosque early Sunday local time in conjunction with Shin Bet, an Israeli intelligence agency.
“In a joint IDF and ISA activity, the IAF conducted an aerial strike on an underground terror compound in the Al-Ansar mosque in Jenin,” the IDF said in a statement. “The mosque contained a terror cell of Hamas and Islamic Jihad terror operatives who were organizing an imminent terror attack.”
The statement said that these were the same terrorists who were responsible “for several terror attacks over the last months.”
“Intel was recently received which indicated that the terrorists who were neutralized were organizing an imminent terror attack,” the statement added. “The mosque was used by the terrorists as a command center to plan the attacks and as a base for their execution.”
The tunnels under the mosque were used to store vast quantities of various weapons, according to images released by the IDF.

Israel increased targeted air strikes in norther Gaza on Saturday to continue softening up terrorist strongholds before ground forces move in.
Israel also pounded Hezbollah terrorists on the Israel-Lebanon border after the Iranian-backed terrorists continued to launch small scale attacks on Israeli forces.
According to the ground plans shown at the link, there was a passage leading from the mosque to a nearby kindergarten.
And everywhere throughout the world, just to be sure!
Smoke them out with tear gas & if that don’t work do like the Marines on Iwo Jima did & use flamethrowers to burn them out!
Pump poison into those tunnels then blow the exits shut. Rinse, repeat.
We can only pray that our military is independent enough to run without substantial blowback from the administration and State Dept. I have no confidence in the tactical prowess of State or the WH.

But, they are excavating areas of the site with little of no concern for artifacts.
Muslims deny that Jews were there long long ago. Of course there is a lot of evidence it is true that Jews built the first structure there.
On the subject of tunnels in Gaza strip, I’m sure that since US denied them bunker buster bombs, they simply figured out another way to get the job done.

Potato head is the ultimate commander of all branches of our military and there’s a good reason for that. Our founders just never dreamed that some day a complete utter moron would be in charge of our military.
An “imdependant” military scares the hell outta me.
The muzzle excavations have long worried me as there is no way of knowing what may be disturbed. Jerusalem was an Armed Camp when I visited in ‘97 and more so now.

I suspect that every mosque in Gaza (and the U.S.) should be treated as a military target. They are nothing but a front for the moslem hoards.
The difference between Mosques and churches is the secondary explosion.
