I was leaving Israel a couple of years ago after a visit. This military officer lady at the airport interviewed me about 20 minutes, (my fake hip had set off a signal) when did I have my surgery, why, where was it done, did I have any proof (only the scar which she did not want to see) where had I been, where was I going, why was I traveling solo, etc. She was beautiful, charming and smart. I was hoping she would sequester me for a couple of days.

Have you not considered that they are attempting to keep their morale up? This is how a later generation does that. They don’t have (or want) the ciggies and poker games that US troops used in WW2 and Vietnam for the same thing. And at that, they’d be ready for action instantly instead of in their tent sobering up as the enemy comes through the wire.

But why weren't they at the Kibbutz near Gaza on October 7th? Civilians were unable to defend themselves.

Physical beauty has nothing to do with the fact that these TikTok dance videos are inherently tedious and an exercise in self-indulgent narcissism.
Not to mention that it reeks of unprofessionalism when your country is in a state of war.
