I see, they are playing fuzzy math then. But I grew up in the oil industry and can testify they play the “shortage” games to deceptively price fix and increase profits every chance they get. Seen it at least a hundred times over the years. Just a small leak in a small insignificant branch line in Ca hits the news and all of a sudden the prices jump a dollar a gallon nationally...
LOL! Ours have dropped to an astonishing $4.89/gal. NOT in caulifourkneeyuh but that’s the closest refineries to us.
We read that most of our oil is coming from West Texas…..our other fields in other states are capped thanks to Obiden. But the Bushes are making a fortune…..and of course Trump can no longer say that he produced the most oil….Bushes got to keep him out that WH !
So they changed the methodology and yielded a rigged number the MSM will run with just like they got away with removing food and energy from the inflation figures. God help me l hate these people

Oil Companies are heavily regulated. If there is an oil leak, especially in California, you can bet the Environmentalists will bring down hell on the producer at a local level as well as at the Federal Level. Please document the leaks you know of that were not reported to the local and the Federal Governments.
We will really feel the effects of this war when things begin to get dicey in the Persian Gulf. Iran has already been talking embargo. Nothing would make Putin happier than seeing the Strait of Hormuz NordStreamed. Last week in the UNSC the UAE delegate threatened withdrawal from the Abraham Accords if Israel continued its course in Gaza. Israel is hemorrhaging international support while moderate Arab leadership is being driven toward uniting behind the Palestinians by their own rapidly radicalizing street.

Of course it is. But when you own most of the government through lobbying they are going to allow it. They stand profit too. And when they ALL do it together as a universal mutual operation by price fixing the whole industry at the same time it is not considered price fixing.

Oil pipeline leaks are allowed in California? Seriously? The pipelines are highly regulated. They have to smart pig their pipes routinely in search of leaks.
