Yet he won’t do anything about the increases in property, auto, or other insurance rates or cancellations of insurance policies in Florida.

Ahh, so your're saying government should over reach their powers and mandate what private enterprise should do.

That's called Socialism.

I doubt those issues will actually be dealt with...

Because other articles that talk about desantimonious holding a special session, don’t say anything about other issues....

Like this one

TALLAHASSEE - Gov. Ron DeSantis plans to call a special legislative session to bolster state sanctions against Iran, as he and lawmakers continue taking steps to show support for Israel during the war with Hamas.

DeSantis’ office Friday confirmed the decision to hold a special session but did not provide details about a date or what will be proposed. It also was unclear whether other unrelated issues could be added to the special session.

Lol....

Then why did desantis supporters promote him for signing legislation that supposedly took care of the insurance problem (which it didn’t), previously?

Why didn’t the supporters call it, desantis promoting socialism, then?

Hypocrit....

This makes for great candidate fodder. His protecting Israel from a group, actually two in the Gaza, by doing what he is supposed to do in his state looks good on paper, but is not a real effort to success unless you buy into it.

So since we are stuck with BLM I guess he’s starting ILM. His job is not to identify people to protect by race or political sways. It is to protect everyone equally with the best effort he can. If he targets one group, how much of his capacity to protect everyone else is cut when he draws from those resources?

It looks like that’s his sock. The front sole of his boot tore loose.

You are wobbling on your tippy toes and we can see up your frilly tutu with that stretch.

You are trying to sell us that when a single source reference does not specify details, that there isn't anything else on the agenda. Boy Howdy, that's a big trough of pig slop you're shoveling.

Did you make it out of sixth grade with that false logic?

"Now you think has the power to suddenly fix it on his own"

LOL! That's funny, since most De Santis droolers believe he was a one-man show when it came to giving him benefit for all the "wonderful" things that have happened in Florida since he's been Governor. They never gave credit to the 2 to 1 Republican majority that gave him everything he wanted.

I didn't know we were on intimate terms. Did I miss something? The only thing we have in common is that we both support Trump.

"And your head is too far up your ass"

I guess you have the same problem since you've obviously missed running into all the DeSantis droolers on various threads, claiming he made all those improvements in Florida all by his little self. They'd have you believe he was a miracle worker, and had no help at all from anyone else in the State.

But don’t have DeSantis Derangement Syndrome

I like them both and I’m looking to the future when Trump is out of office and you guys are destroying a man who has done more for things we supposedy care about on this site than any other governor in the country

And don’t give me the “but the legislature did all that” and Ron played no part

If he was that powerless on his own, why do you expect him to fix Florida insurance by himself?

DeSantis supporters are outnumbered here 20-1

Many of us just let you guys embarrass yourselves until we finally have to say something

I’ve seen this republican primary crap kill this site over the 19 years I’ve been here

And you aren’t helping, Newby

I don't like DeSantis, because he used the State Legislature to help his political career, and wallet. He used the Republican majority in the Legislature to change the Sunshine Laws so that none of his travel records, past, present, or future, are available to anyone for review. And, he got the Legislature to change the State's Resign-to-Run Law, so he wouldn't have to resign his office, in order to run for higher office, and continues to get a regular paycheck, despite not being in the State Capital doing the job he was elected to do. The day he announced his candidacy, was the day he signed that Bill.

I don't know about you, but I'm not a fan of anyone who uses their party's majority, to make changes that personally benefit them.

Charlie Crist had the law changed when he was Governor, because he thought he had a shot at being McCain's V.P. choice. He never bothered to have the law changed back before he left office, and we now know what a turd Crist really was. It wasn't until Rick Scott became Governor, that he changed the law back to its original state. Support who you want, but I choose to support people who accept the laws as they are, and don't change them on a whim to help themselves. That's what Democrats do. Conservative Republicans are supposed to be above that.
