e Adams administration is moving ahead with controversial plans to force migrant families with children staying in the city’s shelter system to reapply for housing every 60 days, officials announced Monday.
The new rules, officials say, aim to cajole recent arrivals to find new accommodations and mirror a policy that requires single adults migrants city shelters to reapply for their housing every 30 days.
City Hall’s clamp down comes as the number of people living in city shelters facilities has doubled since the migrant crisis began last year: More than 118,000 people — 64,000 of them migrants — currently live in city-run or city-funded facilities.

How about when their asylum claims get adjudicated? You know, the asylum claims that about 98.5% of them don’t actually qualify for, which have immigration courts dates 4 years from now that none of them will show up for. That’s when.
Nobody is FORCING them to re-apply. They can always go home, or pay for a place onvtheir own.
Nothing wrong with that. I was going over requirements for a retirement visa in Thailand. You have to report to immigration with an address every 90 days and renew every year for the one I was looking at. Also, you have to be available to get visits at your reported address from immigration authorities.

I remember one young man in a news feature saying his dream in life is to reach age 18 to apply for his own welfare account and have independence from his parent.
Another was said to be one of the first of the 5th straight generations of welfare recipients in their families.
Every one of the asylum posse crews will have 8 anchor babies by the time the courts get around to doing something about these freeloaders.

Never, and the Mayor is going to go through all the gentler steps that border states have done over the past 30 years to “discourage” illegals without result.
The only way this ends is if they end their sanctuary city status and *actually* force the Feds to do their job. They’ll try everything and anything to avoid doing that.
Cant call you a migrant unless your moving around and going places.
If you stay there longer than 60 days, you become a non-migrant

When I IMMIGRATED to America in 1971 we had to prove our current street address by January 31st every year by appearing at the Fed building or local Post Office to sign and swear etc...
Failure to do so was a reason for deportation...
A document was sent to our last known address and if it came back we were in trouble...
We had to let the INS know within 30 days if we moved...
Should be every single day. It’s not like they have anything else to do with their time.

I assume you are referring to the Illegal Aliens, sometimes referred to as Wetbacks. Anyhow, they will not be ‘going back home’ since they are now in their New Home. The Good Old USA.
My guess is the government printing presses are printing citizenshp papers damn near as fast as they are printing money.
After all there is an election to win next year.
