I just contacted my Congress Critter to make sure its vote is for Jordan.
If he ends up as speaker this is a huge win for Gaetz

Jim’s not perfect, but he’s better than anyone else who has a chance. If elected Speaker, praying he will find the courage to deal with what MUST be done to change the devastatingly destructive course of the country FJB & his Regime have put us on. The House has the power of the purse ... for the sake of the country, USE IT.
Tried to call Brian Fitzpatrick to find out where he stands on this ... but no answer. My guess is he’s a hold-out (he was really mad about McCarthy).

Also my congressman Vern Buchanan also just tweeted that he’s now supporting Jordan (I was one of many barraging his office when he said he was a “no” on Jordan earlier).
Thanks to redistricting, my congresscritter is a Democrat, instead of Beth van Duyne.
Probably, however you just know Jordan either has already or is going to be making a lot of promises for votes.
The thing with McCarthy - that arrogant weasel SOB never thought it would be used against him. Evidence of that is his tweet “bring it” .... to which Gaetz replied “I already have”. If the one member to vacate rule stays, Jordan knows there are several members with the brass to use it.
