Israeli troops on Saturday were hunting a Hamas commander described as Palestine's Osama bin Laden, vowing to find him wherever he was hiding and insisting his days were numbered.
Yahya Sinwar, 60, is the current head of Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
He has been arrested by Israel multiple times and spent 24 years in Israeli prisons: he was freed in 2011, as part of a prisoner swap in exchange for Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.
Sinwar is being held responsible for the murder of 1,300 Israelis in the October 7 attack. The U.S. death toll rose to 29 on Saturday, with 15 missing, believed to be held hostage inside Gaza.
'Yahya Sinwar is the face of evil,' said Lt. Col. Richard Hecht, a spokesman for the IDF.
'He is the mastermind behind this, like bin Laden was.
'He built his career on murdering Palestinians when he understood they were collaborators. That's how he became known as the butcher of Khan Younis [in southern Gaza].'
Hecht said that Israeli troops would not rest until he was found and killed.
'That man and his whole team are in our sights. We will get to that man,' he said, adding: 'This could be long.'
Sinwar was designated a terrorist by the United States in 2015.

And after Bin Laden died all terrorism in the world ended I guess Obama wanted us to believe that.
So this guy will die I suspect his death is being high profiled so the sooner he dies the sooner military operations by Israel wind down.

Now the US has two carrier groups in the immediate area.
God forbid some ragged arse 10th century Muslim decide to take out an American ship or more likely a rubber dinghy doing some errand or maintance or something.
Washington is giving them every possible chance to start the ball.
I remember the Gulf of Tonkin and I read about the Rubin James. History does repeat itself.
This not about one commander, it is about the entire Hamas military. Israel intends to end them.

Yahya Sinwar, the leader of the jihad terror group Hamas, on Thursday boasted that if Israel didn’t come across with more ventilators for “Palestinian” coronavirus victims in Gaza, the jihadis “take them by force.” As if that weren’t enough, Sinwar added: “If ventilators are not brought into [Gaza], we’ll take them by force from Israel and stop the breathing of 6 million Israelis.”
I think Biden said, “ To the Palestinians who plan on being refugees, ‘DON’T’”
Hamas was pretty much based in the US in the past... they’re here.
Israel must act but Biden is in the room in fact he has Blinken and the Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin prowling around Israel.
Do I think they are helping or hurting decision making it’s obviously the latter.
I talking about all the hundreds of thousands huddled in the rubble on the strip. Once the sympathy machines kick in, I’d guess they’ll use one of those aircraft carriers to transport several thousand refugees from Gaza for the trip back to the U.S., probably head to Houston. A Biden payback for all the illegals Tx sent to New York.

Bibi is committed, he either ends Hamas or someone will replace him that does.
This is not politics as usual.
Hamas will be ended. Possibly Hezbollah too.
Iran will probably be de-nuked. If they attack a carrier, Tehran will be hit.
