Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced that the death toll of Americans killed by Hamas in Israel on Saturday has risen to 25.
The number was 22 on Wednesday, and 14 the day before. White House officials have cautioned that the number would continue to rise.
“Tragically, the number of innocent lives claimed by Hamas’s heinous attacks continues to rise. Among those, we now know that at least 25 American citizens were killed,” Blinken said at a press conference in Israel.
Blinken did not mention the Americans missing, who number at least 17 so far. The White House said “a number” of Americans have been taken hostage by Hamas, but their whereabouts and conditions are unknown.

I’ll bet it’s easily triple that number.
American tourists? Dual citizens? It makes a difference. If they’re dual citizens, they’re actually Israelis but still it’s a tragedy and yes, we’ll have to support Israel in their war against Hamas.

That’s an excellent point. I have not found a credible source to confirm this, but a couple of Freepers indicated that the U.S. State Department has a formal policy of treating dual citizens living in another country as citizens of that country for legal and diplomatic purposes. In other words, a dual U.S.-Israeli citizen can travel freely to the U.S. and live here with no restrictions, but when living in Israel he cannot automatically avail himself of U.S. diplomatic or legal protection in the event of a crisis — which he’d be able to do if he was just there as a visitor.
Why aren’t the photographs of the headless bodies all over TV? The far left is treating this the way they treat victims of abortions.

This wasn’t at the tourist sites in the Holy Land so it’s most likely dual citizens.
I suspect there were some international travelers among the nitwits at that “Peace Rave” celebration right along the Gaza border there in southern Israel.
18 Thai dead, 25 Americans dead, 10 from Nepal, 7 from Argentina, 4 from France, 2 Ukrainian, 2 Russians.
And all of those countries also have citizens who are missing and assumed to be hostages.
Yeah. Why did they host it there right outside the border? Something like that would have needed at least 20 security guards with guns. Probably wouldn’t be enough to stop Hamas but it may have given the IDF enough time to arrive to help to relieve them.
Remember this administration doesn’t give a rats ass about Americans anywhere.
