A Bronx House Democrat ripped a socialist group as “despicable,” after it gave a half-hearted apology for promoting a virulent pro-Palestinian rally in Manhattan last weekend.
Rep. Ritchie Torres noted that the Democratic Socialists of America’s New York City chapter’s delayed mea culpa Tuesday for the rally couldn’t “even be bothered to mention, much less condemn, Hamas and its mass murder of Jews,” in a Wednesday X post.
“It refers vaguely to ‘loved ones in harm’s way.’ It projects moral outrage only when blaming Israel as the ‘root cause’ of the violence,” Torres said of the statement. “The DSA, despite the name, is not democratic. It’s despicable, detestable, disgraceful, and disgraced. The same can be said of anyone who enables them.”

The ONLY reason why you see some Dems now speaking out against the squad and other commie groups is because they know what everyone knows, if they dont get a large chunk of the Jewish vote they cease to exist as a political party

Dems get about 80 percent of the Jewish vote(20 percent are Orthodox Jews who vote Republican) if even 20 percent out of that 80 percent of Dem voters either votes GOP or stays home, Dems are done and they know it
The definition of “intersectionality” is that all Democrat voting blocs matter, but those who happen to be in multiple blocs matter more than those who don’t.
The problem with intersectionality is that sometimes two Democrat blocs have opposing interests. In such cases, the Venn diagram bites you in the ass, regardless of Kamala Harris’ affinity for VD’s.
In the long run, a political movement based on principles will prevail over a political movement based on appeasing its various voting blocs.
That would put them accurately with their Fascist comrades in Nazi Germany.
Yeah. It’s Israel’s fault for building an oasis in the desert and then refusing to let invaders come in and steal everything and murder everyone. Those rotten Israelis. Who do they think they are?
Jewish voters also contribute lots of money. The loss of campaign money is almost as disastrous as the loss of their votes.
Only place Jewish vote matters is Florida. Most Jews are in a handful on Congressional Districts that are overwhelmingly Dem without Jewish votes.
Jews mostly put their money where their mouths are, unlike most Dems. Shift 20% Dem money to the GOP would be a political earthquake.
That doesn’t add up except in House and lower votes.
Jews are 2.4% of the population. 80% is 1.92%
20% of that is .38%.
Now, the funding and media coverage are a different story.
Jews may be a small percentage of the vote, but they are a big percentage of funding and organizational staff.
