“soon there would be a thriving black market for arms that would include Israeli Arabs and Palestinians in the West Bank.”
Apparently they’ve already got all the guns they need. Or haven’t you been paying attention.
L
There are enough weapons for 3 to 6 Million israeli citizens to have both a sidearm and a rifle, but they keep falling back into labor demands and recalling them out of the hands of IDF retirees.
No every soldier off duty will have his sidearm on the bus, train and in public. We will see a decrease in events next week, an armed society is a civil society.
So any bets on the first airplane to blow up?
Lets put it like this. Grabum nuisance of Caulifourkneeyuh is envious of Israeli firearm restrictions. 50 rounds at a time and must be accounted for before you get any more. Not sure on the new rules.
Larry David would willfully put his (and all Jews) heads into the gulliotine to f**k up AmericaFirst!
100M firearms in the hands of citizens ready to take no shit from anyone. I hear automatic gun fire in my neighborhood and I grab the range finder and the 300 “elk rifle”.
The united states has a gun possession culture and stack ammo high, while IDF attached people trains with firearms during their IDF commitment and are way to liberal in everyday life. Mostly because the former russians are way to socialists even after deprograming.
“to allow as many citizens as possible to arm themselves.”
Should have been doing that since 1948. I was shocked, in 1968, to read how few Israelis were allowed to have any firearms in their homes.
Looks like they are ready for another holocaust. The generation that fought for independence are in their graves. Those from the 67 and 73 wars are now retired. What is left is the Israel equivalent of our millennials.
You would think that the Israeli’s would have learnt a lesson.... Hitler was the first gun control fanatic... And that worked out swimmingly... For Hitler.
In the US, think most pattern rifle owners have more ammo than they could ever shoot. I have enough russian ammo to supply a run and gun squad in ukraine for a year. A good portion of us do not wish for WWIII but are ready for something a step away from that.
The problem in israel, they have been apart from war for 30 years, so they do things like party hard in view of arabs who clearly state they hate them.
You average crowd of 20 to 35 something in the US now has 1% to 2% former military members and 2% enthuistists ready to go full ape shit on an idetifiable target. All it takes is 1/20th of a crowd to fight back, and the the Jr terrorist has dropped his AK and given it to someone trained to resist.
The hippy skits and sandals with the MP5s will be back. It is a sexy look for a young jewish lady in the 1980s, the question is the the tactical iphone holder.
Much like the WW II posters “PLEASE send a gun to Defend a British Home!”

When did Israel start disarming its citizens? I was under the impression that gun ownership was legal there. I think at one time it was.
They were never disarmed. They are loosening gun restrictions. See thread here:

smoke em if you got em.
Interesting concept.
I’ve been told there are more than 3 privately owned firearms per citizen in the State of Texas. We have lots of newcomers, but many brought theirs with them.
In such an incident, and army would quickly appear.
Can’t afford a gun anyway. But anything is a weapon. A piece of string or a shoelace, a knife, a shopping cart, a joint of bamboo, a chair thrown across a room or used defensively close up, a glass of schnaps thrown in the eye, and of course your bare hands. The most and only deadly weapon is the human mind. It’s devious and ingenious. All physical weapons are mere manifestations of the workings of that wonderful tool between our ears.
Thus taught my sensei, who died at age 52 of a heart attack. Only he could defeat himself.
After they take them from their enemies cold dead hands
A prudent thing to do right now is stock up on primers, brass and bullets and powder. It’s cheaper for practicing and you’ll be at an advantage when the supply deteriorates.
It'll be real interesting to see whether the people will voluntarily surrender their firearms after this war is over.

It looks like that’s changing now. I’m happy for those who can afford guns. They’re great deterrents. But expensive.
