Yes, we were fooled by the Israeli teacher carrying a rifle and thought Israelis were well armed privately.
It is standard policy for armed guards to be with school children in Israel. At least they got that right.
Mobilizing… Patton would have crushed them already. Bone stupid that every Jew doesn’t have a military-style rifle in the closet. Shocking.

Several years ago, I recall seeing several photos of Israeli women open carrying AR-15 weapons?
Since ALL Israelis have to serve in the military, one would presume that ALL Israelis have weapon training!

Do you like saying what you don’t like about our government? Do you like not being threatened by other countries? Do you like being ruled by laws instead of people? Do you like having the right to an attorney? ....to see a judge? ...to remain silent? ...against illegal search of your home?
All of these rights are self evident, but they rest ENTIRELY on the right “to keep and bear arms”0. Most of America’s gun-grabbing allies only get away without consequences because we protect them and provide freedom standards which they emulate.

Some estimates are that less the one-third of eligible Israelis complete draft obligations. ALL is a joke. IDF won’t admit openly.
Many of the females are little more than comfort girls for male superiors. Seems to be by design.
One aspect I haven’t seen mentioned so far...consider that 20%+ of the population is Arab. If anyone were able to freely own guns of any kind, that would have to hold for ALL citizens. So they’d have 20% armed potential terrorist right in their midst.
If those were to turn on the Jewish population on a signal by Iran or whomever, you’d have 100,000s dead in a matter of hours.
I hear you. I once knew a fellow who worked as a federal prison guard. He was describing a situation, and I said, “Well, FCOL, you have guns, right?”
He said, “Oh, no, if we did, that would be the whole ball game: for the prisoners to get ahold of them.”
That's a tough situation, with maybe two adults and a bunch of kids, not everyone is getting out alive, but if Hamas had to have a gunfight at each and every house, they wouldn't have been able to operate with the freedom of movement that they did. But there were some quick takeaways, seems to me.
AR 15 is fine, but some of the attackers appeared to be wearing body armor. Gonna want something chambered in .30 cal at least if you're going to be outnumbered the way the Israeli kibbutzim were. A few thousand rounds of ammo would be good, and it's not that hard anymore to go buy a few cases of ammo. It's not like it goes bad.
12 gauge slugs punch through body armor, too. And will penetrate a car even better than a .308 Need to buy more slugs, then.
You really need a bunch of friends with at least rudimentary training, and some coms. Watching people record with their cell phones while their neighbors were being murdered was gutting. Could easily see that happening in blue cities here.
