Translation: Ukraine is about to launch a false flag attack on the plant and blame the meltdown on Russia.

Ukraine will be uninhabitable before this is over.
This plant is a big one!

according to chatgpt:

The difference between a hot shutdown and a cold shutdown state for a nuclear reactor is that in a hot shutdown, the fuel continues to react and remains reasonably hot, while in a cold shutdown, the fuel has gone completely or almost completely cold 1.

In a typical shutdown, regular levels of coolant are still required 1. In a cold shutdown, the coolant system is typically lowered to pump water at atmospheric pressure, and the reactor vessel remains below 93 °C (200 °F), and water passing through it will not boil 1.

Until the pumps shut down for whatever reason, and then after a short time everything heats right up.

If it really is on cool shutdown, how? If it’s no longer on cool shutdown, then the report is accurate.

The reactor is shut down when there is not self sustaining fission in the core. This can be in a hot condition or cold condition. If the reactor is in hot standby, it is near operating temperature range, and can be brought online quickly if necessary. It takes many hours to start up a reactor from cold condition.

Putin is already flattening the entire country. He doesn’t need to make it radioactive, too.

This is my fear of us switching more of our power production to nuclear. I don't fear the physical science, but the political science and how the "experts" will tell us that nuclear is dangerous doncha know and needs to be shut down.

If the Dims could change their tune with what they just a few years ago touted as "clean burning natural gas" to the point where they now try to ban it, imagine how much quicker they'll do it with nuclear.
