Hard to believe but in government the size of your workspace or office can be determined by your pay scale.

“I think we should pray for them all”
I saw a video clip last night of a Tim Burchett interview. He said that once he told McCarthy that he was going to pray about something (he didn’t say what), and McCarthy strongly ridiculed him.
Maybe we need a Speaker who doesn’t hate Christians.

“Office size squabbles are petty stuff.”
In corporate America office size issues are not petty. Include office location in that, too. I can’t believe that politicians rise above that nonsense.

The nation burns and our leaders bicker among themselves about offices.

“I don’t know much about McHenry”
He’s KM’s butt buddy. (Is Luntz jealous? I dunno.) He’s dreadful. Did you see his childish gavel bang after the vote on KM?

Prayers for someone to do the right thing only work if that person is willing to or open to doing the right. Proverbs 21:1
The king’s heart is like channels of water in the hand of the LORD; He turns it wherever He wishes..

God will not force anyone to do what he wants as it violates the most important aspect of Humanity that gives Him Glory, the will of man.I've been thinking about what you wrote. That statement directly contradicts the verse I quoted.
I can think of biblical examples where God did just that.
Saul of Tarsus on a personal vendetta to imprison and kill followers of Jesus.
Pharoah didn't want to let the slaves go.
Peter was simply pursuing a fishing career when Jesus changed his goals in life.
Balaam was going to curse Israel on behalf of the king of the Moabites, but God used an ass to turn him from his mission.
Lot certainly changed his tune when God sent angels to Sodom.
Job had his attitude straightened out. He went from accusing God of evil to saying he has now seen God and knows him.
Joseph got his path in life by being enslaved and becoming a convicted rapist.
To me, the most remarkable instance is Cyrus, king of Persia. In his first year as king over the earth's mightiest empire, he focuses on the tiny nation of Israel and directs everyone to help restore their temple and the city.

Paul had to make the right choice before God saved him. Your personal choice is always yours and God will never take that away from each and every scenario.
God never forces us to do anything, he may apply pressure like he did to Pharoah, but he never takes away your choice in the matter. Pharoah could have still chosen to detain the Israelites, he made the choice to let them go in the overwhelming evidence of the Reality and Power of the God of Israel.
