Because the entire government is corrupt. Thieving, lying, criminal, government. Welcome to third world USA.

It’s like almost no one opposes them, until recently at least.

Because President Trump taught them that you win 0% of the battles you refuse to fight.

Republicans were masters at talking themselves out of taking actions. Trump showed them that winning isn't guaranteed, but if you fight and win, it's better than fighting and losing or doing nothing and losing.

At least with the former, you get respect for making the attempt.
