I recall a large farming operation where the borrower was charged with lying on loan applications. But the case was egregious, such as collateralizing grain already under government loan and equipment already financed through the implement dealer’s financing arm. Really big numbers. Yuge ones. Trump big, but double dipped, unlike President Trump’s.
I can’t find anyone who is prosecuted for mere inflation of values.
When I was thinking of buying a second home, I decided what I thought it was worth. The bank I was going to borrow from did their own appraisal and came in about $10K higher. It fell thru for other reasons, but no one in the bank gave a rat’s rear what I thought it was worth. Only what they thought they could get if they sold it in case of default.
Has anyone demonstrated the judges qualifications to properly appraise real estate? Accurate appraisal of commercial real estate in NYC is not an amateurs game.
Generally loan institutions rely on approved appraisals not on the owners say so. That’s always been my experience. Plus I believe he would like nothing more than exit the NY state in any business dealings. He should pay a modest fine (no admission to wrong doing) and agree to sell all NY assets. Then vacate the state and vow never to go back for any reason.
He inflated what the properties are worth and the insurance companies gave him lower rates for it? That makes no sense at all.
Even more so, because of cases like this, which are just legal system persecutions, I am not only voting for Trump, but am doubling down on it, if that was actually possible.
I hope more and more people see it this way.

First, read and understand the Declaration of Independence and Constitution as written and originally understood and intended.
Second, do whatever you can to make THE CONSTITUTION the issue - bolster constitutional state sovereignty, influence others, and vote on that basis. Understand that the only legal force and power between you and absolute tyranny is the Constitution.
Third, support in every way possible reinstating the Constitution as the Supreme Law of the Land and constitutional state sovereignty including STOPPING FEDERAL FUNDING of states which is how the feds exercise control over the states.
Fourth, support in every way possible the DISMANTLING of the $3+ trillion, 80%+ unconstitutional portion of the federal government AKA “The Deep State”.
Fifth, START LIVING FREE!!!!

fully agree. However, given the political direction this nation is headed in, here is how I predict it will play out:
illegals will be given amnesty and declared citizens. They will then be given voting ballots and given instruction how to vote.
When given full power, the deepstate will then pack the SC and the new majority will rule the United States Constitution invalid since it was written by those they disagree with.
Understand more reason to wonder why they try to go after Trump on dumb charges.

How were we not the HUGE underdogs in 1776 - a rag-tag bunch of colonists against the mightiest military power in the world? How did we still win? ONE REASON. The DIVINE PROVIDENCE of GOD ALMIGHTY and “a firm reliance on Him” (from the Declaration of Independence).
We MUST do the same to win here. With the Constitution, we have ALL the legal and judicial tools and power on OUR SIDE. We are underdogs but in much better position than they were in 1776.

It’s the role of assessors and appraisers to define value for each unique purpose. Not Trump.
My mortgage banker doesn’t care what I think the value is, and judging by my property tax neither does my county assessor.
