It was awful. LBJ helped bring about the awful Great Society The Democrat Party moved left after JFK ‘s death to the point that it is now Marxist. Also, Goldwater would have done better against JFK.

I’m not sure JFK would have done worse against Goldwater. I was watching that one pretty closely and Goldwater did NOT help his campaign with talking about lobbing one (nuke) into the men’s room at the Kremlin. Just like I don’t think the pro Russia folks at FR are helping their cause by talking up the current nuclear danger from an angry Putin.
