Probably too honest of an evaluation. Trump continues to be unpolished in his responses to just about everything. This lack of polish is probably both his biggest strength and his biggest weakness. Bottom line, with Trump it’s all about Trump. He might yet win this cycle but I won’t miss him when he finally goes away.

The proof that DeSantis is elite is that he was in the military. Real people avoid the military like Donald 4F Trump and his two adult sons. Sanctimonius people join the military to cover over their phoniness with fake medals. And don’t even bring up that loser, John McCain, and his “tortured POW” story. We prefer winners to losers, except we accept excuses for Donald Trump who managed as President to lose the House, the Senate and the White House.
Vic could be secretary of something so we could see his true ability and values. But I think Christie, Pence will not get back in the government. Haley could be ambassador to India. I would not let her anywhere near our military. Pence could be ambassador to Ireland. Christie could be ambassador to Hell. I would like Kennedy to be in the cabinet. He should be in charge of DHHS. DeSantis could be in there somewhere. And Peter Navarro needs to be in the Trump White House. As well as General Flynn.

Reagan was re-elected in a landslide because most Americans were simply better off in 1984 than they had been in 1980.
The U.S. wasn't even the same country by 2020 that it had been in 1980. Joe Biden is a perfect representation of what this country has become -- old, decrepit, corrupt and failing.
The proof that DeSantis is "elite" is that he's an Ivy League lawyer who has never worked outside government in his life.

In America, it’s bad for people who are children of the lower classes to aspire to rise up to the upper classes in terms of wealth, occupation, or other dimensions of success. Whereas, in Europe, it’s a good thing. If God had meant for you to be royalty, he would have arranged for you to be born into that status.
