Donald Trump mocked his rivals for the Republican presidential nomination on Wednesday, saying none of them were worthy of being his running mate.
Most of his remarks focused on President Joe Biden but he did refer to the 'the job candidates' who were preparing to take the debate stage halfway across the country in California.
'You know we're competing with the job candidates - they're all running for a job,' he said. 'They want to be anything, Secretary of something, even say VP. I don't know. Does anybody see any VP in the group? I don't think so.'

Is this even a conservative website anymore? Many of y’all have lost your bearings. DeSantis has moved his electorate and the country further to the right and towards freedom than anyone since Ronald Reagan, and too many here have become Trump drones spitting out nonsense. If Trump is still your guy, fine, but it’s time to read up on Florida’s electoral and policy success over the past three or four years and realize who the good guys are.

And VP ideally would have to be someone who could carry the torch. We don't want another GHW Bush post Reagan type scenario.
She would be a fine choice. She'd then, serving 4 years as VP, also be a top contender for President in 2028, not Ron.

Yea, I am sure Trump will nominate another ‘stellar’ list of losers, back-stabbers and completely incompetent people...just like he did last time.
DeSantis has been excellent as Governor of Florida. But attacking Trump is one of the most bone headed moves in modern American politics. He could have had almost any job he wanted in the next Trump administration.
I don’t know who is dumber, the advisors who told Ron to do it or Ron himself for doing it. The vast majority of the Republican base doesn’t just want Trump. We are demanding Trump.
So for good or bad it’s Trump in 2024. That’s just a fact.

Trump shoulda played them a bit, making them think he might hire them for something- I bet they would tone down their nasty insults of him in the primaries for awhile if he did. Then announce later that none of them are competent enough to be hired given their stances on issues
