Sadly, this is spilling out to us in the burbs where we definitely didn’t vote for it.
And the state has taken away our ability to defend our homes with and carry our preferred weapons. California’s bans were chucked by the courts, and I hope IL follows suit, though I’ not optimistic. We have to wait for SCOTUS to rule on this one.
I live out here in the 'burbs too. I'm as far southwest as you can get while still living in Crook County. I'm not worried about it when the crap comes here. I know it will, and I know how I'll respond.
All it takes, is proper, forceful response within the constraints of the law. I know what they are. I'll stay within them. Criminals? When enough of them are dispatched with extreme prejudice and enough body bags are filled, only then will crime start ticking back down.
Until then, praise the Lord and buy more ammo.
