During the Reagan administration, this same LA Times incessantly attacked him. Ironically, many of the criticisms were directed at his age and mental fitness.

The LA Times, together with the rest of the propaganda media, was completely stunned at the outpouring of affection for Reagan when he died. I was in Washington DC to watch his casket on the way to the Capitol. Constitution Ave was lined with people paying their respects to Reagan. The same happened when his casket went up to the Reagan library in California.

The legacy media lived in a bubble of elite leftism way back in the 1990s. Now they are even more isolated from reality than ever.
