Novelist Herman Wouk said in This Is My God that once in WWII on a ship in heavy combat men were getting shot or shelled and fast moving water was sweeping him and other men across the bobbing deck toward the surging ocean. He saw some reope lines but couldn’t tell which ones were attached firmly to the ship and which were loose lines. He leaped onto one and held on to it for dear life, praying to God.

Poland might want to refresh their memories to when Russia and Germany jointly invaded Poland and Poland’s “allies” did diddly squat about it.
If Poland wants to give up Ukraine to Russia then maybe someone else might not care about giving up Poland to Russia.

Russia is not interested in ALL of Ukraine. Putin’s speech on day one spelled out what his objectives were. He is keeping the five ethnic Russian provinces, a hefty demilitarized zone a given, ( up to the Dniepner?), that leaves much of western Ukraine, a “ Rump” nation, de-Nazified, neutral and most importantly NATO free.

It's bound to happen at some point. Cut the bankroll and supply lines off and the wheels come off. They all start pointing fingers and ratting each other out. Or start killing each other. The problem is instead of peace, the U.S. wants to escalate problems and they already have. Some of these people would risk an all out nuke war over their border disputes. Meanwhile our own violent open border is being invaded with millions more entering from God knows where. It has become a national security time bomb.
When a government refuses to secure and protect it's own legitimate sovereign borders, government itself will eventually become illegitimate.

And we don’t care about these ancient ethnic and border squabbles that have been plaguing Europe for centuries. We built a new land to get away from all that.
Of course, we all know it, and it defies logic to think that Putin wants anything to do with trying subjugate people who hate him, as that would mean a return to Communism, since even the slightest loosening of Communism would threaten that control, as Hungary (1956), and Czechoslovakia (1968) both showed...and, at the same time, Communism didn’t do the Soviets any good, as their people lived in a S-hole country - so, again, what’s the benefit of trying to take Poland, or much of Ukraine, other than shutting down deadly pin-pricks, as the Neocons are now having Ukraine do (but not Poland)?
