“The best one would have required the morgue, not the hospital.”
I am not disagreeing, but some people don’t want there home to be the scene of a homicide, even a justifiable homicide.

Doesn’t sound like it.
Question is what WAS the citizen armed with? Caliber, make and model, etc are important here...

He could have stayed in his comfortable home waiting for trial in Illinois. Lately Illinois just passed no bail laws

I can see that. No need for LE to destroy your home in the name of *investigating* a crime scene.

Happy ending but....
Sadly, this is out future. We have to be always on guard, ever vigilant, and ready to defend your life and home all the time because the legal system no longer stops criminals, no longer supports policing, no longer prosecutes, plays catch and release, etc all while trying to criminalize the good guy just trying to live his life.

Yeah, I know that Fayette County is no longer technically a small town. But, outside the immediate Atlanta area, crime is still strongly frowned upon in Georgia. And as you said, the DA is a Republican.
