If I wanted to pursue someone’s hidden money, I would start and the end, like finishing a maze backwards, or a colonoscopy. lol. The court could issue warrants for the bank records, and find out where they were paid from. Then do the same for the law or accounting firm that issued the checks to get information about the trust or entity from which it is taken. Even if there are layers, such as trusts of trusts or intermediates (trust-law firm-trust-accountant-bank-recipient) you should be able to work through them.
