Unfortunately for the Ukraine, this is not a sea war.
Your are correct, but this hurts Russia’s operational reach at sea and impedes their ability to interdict Ukraine’s imports and more importantly grain exports.
By treaty Russia can’t move ships into and out of the Black Sea when at war, so they can’t replace losses. Ukraine is grinding down Russia’s naval capability, making shipping into and out of Odessa less hazardous. This provides real benefits to Ukraine, as commercial grain ships can pass freely through the Dardanelles and Bosporus straits.
Meaning that destroying Russian warships and killing Russian sailors will have absolutely no impact on Russia's military capability, ability to wage war, or morale?!
Your logic is impeccable!
Russia should simply tell Ukraine to stop destroying the Russian fleet, because it's not a sea war!
When will those Ukrainians learn?! When will they get it into their thick heads that blowing up Russian military targets is pointless?!
Regards,
Someone apparently forgot to tell that to the Russians!
So you're saying that Ukraine was wrong to take out this landing craft and the submarine (and kill a dozen military personnel), but Russia was somehow right to destroy these three (unmanned) boats?
Double-standard, much?
