I broke FR’s rule and read the article. It never actually says why Lee is upset, but Newsom said he was going to appoint a black woman, just not one, such as Lee, who might run for Feinstein’s seat.
Lee missed be ticked off that she won’t get a running start in the Senate race.
I think she has been “troubled” for a long time before The Jackal’s remarks. She should take her medicine as directed.

We have a 75 year old male friend who was a colonel in the Air National guard and a chief pilot for a major airline.
His younger bro was a major in the Air National Guard and also a chief pilot for the same airline.
A daughter of our friend married a liberal from Berkeley and they have a home in the Berkeley hills and she teaches at a private school in Berkeley.
Our friend/the liberal’s father, at a dinner party, stated that he couldn’t believe that his daughter was now a liberal Bezerkely person.
His brother said that the daughter/his niece was a liberal most of her life.
