Virginia Gov. Youngkin pardons dad who erupted over high school ‘coverup’ of daughter’s sex assault

Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin announced Sunday he pardoned a dad who angrily protested a Loudoun County school’s handling of his daughter’s sexual assault.

Scott Smith, a plumber who erupted at a rowdy school board meeting on June 22, 2021 — reportedly unleashing a storm of profanities — was arrested and subsequently convicted of disorderly conduct.

“I spoke with Mr. Smith on Friday, and I had the privilege of telling Mr. Smith that I will pardon him, and we did that on Friday,” Youngkin told “Fox News Sunday.”

“We righted a wrong. He should’ve never been prosecuted here. This was a dad standing up for his daughter.”

Yep, looks like Youngkin is looking to be an alternative to Trump, should Trump not be able to run (for any reason).

The way to be sure is to watch for him insulting the MAGA Base, which all non-Trump GOP candidates have done, other than Vivek.

If he does show the PROPER RESPECT for us Trump Supporters, he will be viable as a candidate for 2024, should he choose to do so. If not, he can join the rest of the single-digit GOP candidates, should he run.

I want DJT to be the nominee but if not, I think Youngkin would be a very good choice.

This is what DeSantis should have done. He could have been supportive and attacking the Lawfare and helping the stolen 20 effort. That way if the rats took Trump off the board he would a lock for the revenge vote. Instead he buddied up with the GOPe and ended up sounding like Pelosi

Scott’s lower court conviction was vacated by his appeal to circuit court, which is still pending. I would liked to have seen the outcome of that trial. I think he had a terrific chance for a not guilty verdict. A pardon suggest he did something wrong.

Youngkin is Trump without the self-destructive mouth.

Youngkin is Youngkin. It’s a grave mistake to make Mr Trump (or anyone else) the standard by which all others must be judged.

Enough that you would pay his legal fees?

And the fees on the next thing they would have charged him with?

Youngkin is not ready for a White House run. Let him unseat one of the Rat senators from Virginia.

This clears the decks for a massive lawsuit vs. Loudoun Co. Apparatchiks. He can name the entire board and after all is said and done have them in living in refrigerator boxes. Very sweet when lawfare is turned against other side

I believe his lawyers are from a 501c3 organization established to fight the commies.
