IMO—_This is a warning shot across the bow that allows Hunter to disappear.
IF he does so-—he isn’t around to testify against his father in other criminal charges.
Then everyone with a gun charge, should say.....I don’t need a jury...

They will indict him on the gun charge, he will get a slap on the wrist with 12 months probation or the like, and then they will hope the other stuff will go away. If the charge is ONLY on the gun charge, then none of the other stuff will be a part of any hearing.
The media can then report Hunter Biden’s issues are “old news” and he has been sentenced and “paid his dues”.
As long as Joe or Kamala is President Hunter’s stay in prison will be short. But, think about it, Joe Blow could get a lot of sympathy over a Hunter trial e.g. ....”poor elderly Joe’s mourning his son’s troubles”.
But, bottom line, he will know he can always pardon his low life dirt bag son and all his family and himself against federal convictions.
State DA’s have been filing all sorts of stuff on Trump and there is no pardon available for state crimes in a blue state.
So, turn it around, file on Joe in Red States! Put the SOB in the same jail cell with Hunter. I hear the Super Max in Colorado has high vacancy rates.
