Tolerance™ and Diversity™, among other things, require that Western governments subvert their own laws — which of course still apply to locals — in order to accommodate the polygamy that is practiced rampantly throughout the Islamic world.
Via Remix News (emphasis added):
Afghan nationals who worked with the German army during the military operation in the country have had requests to bring their second wives and children to Germany approved, a move that is posing complex legal problems.
Afghan employees of the Bundeswehr were granted visas to reside in Germany following the military withdrawal from Afghanistan, and family reunification laws enabled the employees to bring their spouses and children with them.
However, the German newspaper Westfalenpost reported that in at least two known instances, subsequent reunification requests were approved to bring further spouses and children. This was confirmed by the local immigration office in the Hochsauerland district.
Should Afghan nationals who loyally assisted the German military during its occupation of Afghanistan be permitted to relocate to Germany, particularly given the potential threat posed to them by a Taliban none too happy about Afghans who cooperated with a foreign occupation?
There’s a good case to be made. Some might go so far as to call it a moral obligation.
Should the German government bend its own laws, contorting itself into legal pretzels and confounding its internal bureaucracies, to accommodate polygamy?
That’s much harder to argue, unless one has spent a lifetime inundated in moral relativism and deep-seated self-hatred, as Western liberals are.
Continuing:
In one instance, the husband is living with one wife and three children while the second wife lives in a separate apartment nearby with another seven children*.
Another husband is understood to be living with both his wives and nine shared children.

*It’s worth noting parenthetically that this single Afghan migrant, which is not rare demographically, has two wives and nine children whereas the German birth rate is 1.6 — far below replacement rate for the native population. But acknowledging this basic fact is called the “Great Replacement Theory,” which is somehow considered racist and not permitted to be discussed or acknowledged in polite society.
Hey… the MORE WIVES, THE MORE MUSLIM BABIES. And probably subsidized by German taxpayers. One wonders why their government overlords HATE the German people.
Same exact thing has been happening in and around Dearborn, Michigan since Bush2 started importing Iraqi’s and everyone else. The feds and Michigan taxpayers are sending multiple checks to the same houses. These men are making 6-figures in welfare checks, living the life.
DML visits Dearborn, Michigan 2016 ..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5oLoW9jZJc go to the 1:30 mark for more on this, but the short video is worth watching.
It’s coming here.
There is no way once you undefine mariage as one man and one woman to whatever the hell you want. That you don’t end up with polygamy marriages as well.
Feel free to skip to the 4:25 mark to see what the US taxpayer is paying for. Good times......
Hell, our “elected” politicians are pulling that crap right here in our Congress.
‘Citizens’ pay would be the welfare program that would pay here. The house/heat/electrical would be a situation between the gov’t and the renter. The guy and his wife would get around 550 Euro each...quarter of that sum for each kid.
I would point this out. Study done by a German university found (this was back around 2014) that as immigrants came in...first generation had the number of kids that you’d see in the old country. As those kids (adults version 2.0)...grew up....they generally went to the German number...1 or 2 kids, because it’s too expensive to have more than that. By the 3rd generation...they’d all adapted to the central German problem, high cost of living.
There’s a lot of talk about the lacking number of apprentice kids for training. Hundreds of German companies could take in several apprentice folks, and found this year....no applicants.
