DeSantis super PAC pleaded for $50 million from wealthy donors on day of first GOP debate - and pushed for campaign to lean on 'warm and humble' wife Casey to make Ron more likeable, leaked audio shows

Political action committee Never Back Down spoke to dozens of wealthy Republican backers about how they are going to lean on 'warm and humble' Casey to make Ron more likable in the unfolding campaign.

CEO Chris Jankowski told the donors on August 23: 'We just need your help getting $50 million more by the end of the year, and $100 million more by the end of March.

Never Back Down has been operating as a type of shadow campaign for DeSantis after receiving an initial $82.5 million from his own state political committee.

Jankowski, Davison and Roe spent their time trying to persuade donors to help them overcome Trump's seemingly advantageous position in this respect. They reiterated that they have 60 days to get ahead of Trump.

Roe added: 'We can't lose to Trump. If Trump's the nominee, we're gonna lose the White House. If we lose the White House, we're gonna lose the Senate.

Neverbackdown has something like 70-100 milliion currently in campaign funds, depending on what articles you're reading, and they want to get another 100 million while they are cutting back on door knocking and other activities?

And from fec docs, half of media spending went to axiom strategies and related companies, which are jeff roe's companies.

the desanctimonious campaign and team desantis are looking like they are nothing but big grifting operations for jeff roe, at this point.

Also, it's amusing that they think desantis can win the general election.... when some polling shows about 30% of Trump supporting republicans and independents won't vote for anyone but Trump.

It will serve him well in ‘28. If Trump pick Rand to be his VP it’s over.

I like what he's done in Florida, but he's a classic example of "not ready for prime time." His politics are essentially still being formed.

I really don't blame DeSantis, though. He's caught in that ridiculous trend fostered by the media and low-info fanboys and fangirls over the past decade or so that anyone who makes a name for himself or herself at some level of government should instantly be considered a candidate for President. Forget learning, gaining experience and seasoning. They need to run now!

Pete Buttigieg is of course the prime example of this juvenile fixation, with his fans in the media and public almost begging him to run although he has done absolutely nothing of any particular note his entire life.

Except be gay.

I don't think DeSanctus has a money problem...

He will eventually withdraw and slink back to FL, where he's done a good job - mostly.

He may run for Senate, but he will never run for POTUS again.

Establishment/globalist/Uniparty folks have been lying with thr electability argument since day one.. every time the pleebs don’t do what they want they trot out that old tired scare tactic to get folks back on the reservation.

That crap absolutely costs the PA senate seat.. when the tank and file were surging forward Barnette near the end they pulled out every scare tactic in the books. Then spent more than 100 Million on an abject turd names OZ and lost to a man who can’t even form a sentence….

The establishment are lying cowardly hacks, who would happily lose an election to the opposition to keep the status quo than actually see someone elected who isn’t the right “type”.

Trump is the only president, elected in a 2 way race, to grow his support by more than 17%… no other politician on either side of the aisle who can make that claim. Not Clinton, Not Obama, Not Bush, Not Nixon, Not Even Reagan or FDR can make that claim… but somehow this guy is unelectable?!?

He’s the only person with an R beside his name running that is, period.

Not a single establishment Republican politician, not a one of them, can win a national election this cycle… Trump is it, and if he can’t win there is No chance anyone else can… the leadership, telling you otherwise, are feeding you flat out lies.

Show where this article was posted today, as very few articles with desantis have been posted recently, because their campaign has been flailing and basically getting no media attention.

leaked audio shows... He made the plea at a fundraising lunch

I keep saying that Republicans must assume that the staff at these restaurants or hotel banquet rooms are secretly recording what candidates say so they can become weaponized leakd to LAAP-dog media.

Haven't Republicans learned anything since Romney's leaked "47 percent" comment at a supposedly private donor meeting in 2012?

IMHO, Oz lost because he wasn’t a GOPe supported uniparty guy, and there was election fraud in pennsylvania, too..

rnc decided they would give the seat away, rather than let Oz win it, as Trump supported Oz, and they couldn’t let Oz win.

The swamp GOPe uniparty considers keeping control of their power more important, than the needs of it’s republican base.

“ . If Trump pick Rand to be his VP it’s over.”

Do you think Trump is going to win? 2024? What state is he going to win that he lost in 2020?
You seem way over confident.

Yeah, everything about the Senate losing is from Trump. They have their RINO Senators who do their bidding

Don’t forget that the House is up to grabs again also in this election. Every two years. Thus, if we lose all three, then we will LOSE America, or what little is left of it. The Globalists will take over. They will see the loss by the RINOs as a sign that America wants socialism and accepts their agenda. Then we are done. However, my faith is not in a political party. My faith is in my LORD, Jesus Christ. With Him there is nothing but paradise. I’ll go with the Man who walked out of the tomb. Simple as that.

He wouldn’t get the crossover democrats either. The republican party has been given every chance to rebuild and represent their voters and they refuse to do that. 30-40% of republican voters will go and never come back.

If they were stolen they weren’t lost. Trump has lots of support and if 2020’wasnt stolen outright as it was (mail in, machines, etc ways shown evidence of already) Trump won quite a few more states then you think.

“ If they were stolen they weren’t lost.”

If that statement is true then there is even less chance that he will win.

“DeSantis super PAC pleaded for $50 million from wealthy donors on day of first GOP debate - AND PUSHED FOR THE CAMPAIGN...”

TOTALLY ILLEGAL - but then if they’re ‘Fighting Fascism’ (as they view opposing Trump), then what’s the problem.
