A former CIA agent who signed the October 2020 open letter that dismissed The Post’s bombshell reporting on Hunter Biden’s laptop emails as Russian disinformation worked on policy enforcement at Twitter as recently as last year and did not disclose her role to Congress, new “Twitter Files” reporting shows.
Nada Bakos alerted her senior policy team — including now-former Twitter head of trust and safety Yoel Roth — that her photograph was one of 20 on The Post’s March 19, 2022, cover highlighting 51 former intelligence officials who cast doubt on the authenticity of the laptop, according to an email sent the same day and obtained by Substack journalist Texas Lindsay.
“Hi All – I wanted to make you aware of the NYPost cover that I was ‘featured’ on related to the Oct 2020 story about Hunter Biden’s emails when he was on the Board of the Ukrainian Gas company, Burisma and a letter signed by 100s of former IC officials,” Bakos wrote in an email that listed her title as a senior policy domain specialist of site integrity.

Everything you read, saw via the news, or heard in the past ten years....is probably going to require a full second-view now. Realization has occurred where you are loaded with BS from the minute you get up, until you go to bed.
I can usually tell from what they don’t say if they’re talking BS, especially with statistics. Thing to do is to glean the kernels of truth from the sea of BS, and parse the sentences that don’t sound right.
Yes, it is.
And the same people that are commiting the wrong, are telling the public not to worry and censoring reports about their actions.
Illegal wiretaps of Trump tower, lying about it, spreading lies about Russian collusion to distract from ones own wrong doing... Yes, FAR worse than Watergate ever was.
Yeah so much contrived stuff out there
Treason is in season, again but this time on steroids.
Do those 51 STILL have security clearance? It should be REVOKED immediately.
I’ve been saying the same thing since it became obvious it was a coordinated lie.
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
Attributed to Goebbels, who probably didn’t say it. Nevertheless it well describes where we are at with the FedGov.
We've become russians under the soviet horror, having to read between the lines of Pravda.
Here we are now. Denial and normalcy bias will get you killed.
I think it’s them realizing that the gig is up. Enough of the people are on to them that they’ll be skedaddling shortly. But like all spies, before they go when their cover’s been blown, they’ll do as much damage as possible before disappearing.
Why? They didn't lie. The letter they signed said that finding a treasure trove laptop abandoned at computer repair store had "all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation."
After all, who would be stupid enough to actually do such a stupid thing?
Turns out that Hunter was, of course.

EDITED .....Nick Shapiro, a former top aide under CIA director John Brennan, provided POLITICO with the now notorious signed letter, insistently noting, “the 51 intel leaders who signed this worked for the past four presidents, including Trump.......and indicates the number of former, working-level intel officers who want the American people to know that once again the Russians are interfering.”
The former Trump admin officials who signed the letter include Russ Travers, who served as National Counterterrorism Center acting director; Glenn Gerstell, the former NSA general counsel; Rick Ledgett, the former deputy NSA director; Marc Polymeropoulos, a retired CIA senior operations officer; and Cynthia Strand, who served as the CIA’s deputy assistant director for global issues. Former CIA directors or acting directors Brennan, Leon Panetta, Gen. Michael Hayden, John McLaughlin and Michael Morell also signed the letter, along with more than three dozen other intel veterans.
<><>The sub rosa purpose of the signed letter was to boost candidate Biden.....several of the 51 signers had publicly endorsed Biden.
<><> Aiding and abetting the scheme, The New York Times raised questions about the rigor of the Post’s reporting, casting doubt on the Post’s reporting of Hunter’s salacious laptop.
<><>However, the NYP stood by its astute, detailed groundbreaking reporting.
<><>The wily Hunter kept cravenly denying the abandoned laptop was actually his, despite incontrovertible truth to the contrary.
The bogus collusion story, financed by Hillary, was shrewdly designed to mimic 2016, when Russian hackers dumped troves of emails from Democrats onto the internet — producing few damaging revelations - but calculatedly fueling accusations of so-called “corruption” by Trump.
While back in 2020 there had been no immediate indications of Russian involvement, the general thrust intended by the 51 signers was to aid and abet a “Get Trump” narrative.
US intel agencies obsessively insisted there was “an active Russian disinformation effort aimed at denigrating Biden’s candidacy.”
p
That bs is the actual defense they use…
But they all knew it was actually hunters laptop. They lied. They actually influenced the election with the lies.
They didn't know if it was true or not, but they knew that by signing that letter that it would be used as cover for Biden's campaign, and in fact Biden himself brought up the letter in one of the debates to counter Trump when Trump mentioned the laptop emails.
The reporting by the MSM was also horrific in using the letter to say that the laptop was straight-up Russian planted fiction, when all the letter said was that they didn't know if the laptop was Russian disinformation, but if true this would be Russian interference in our elections
bkmk
Not by THIS administration. It’s a good thing Aldrich Aims is dead, or he’d be pardoned and get his security clearance back.
As the Romans used to say, “here we are.” There are independent outlets, which maybe say their truths, but they are not always accurate, and then there’s the morass of corporate media, which can be navigated as I’ve proposed.
The CIA spooks were running a conspiracy. Note how the CIA used spooks to influence social media. This is domestic espionage.
Out here on the left coast, the B$ bombardment goes on during the night for us, due to our time zone.
Which is why I read my personal email and local news first.
