We recently reported that the County of Maui sued Hawaiian Electric for allegedly causing the deadly wildfires that swept through West Maui and completely destroyed the town of Lahaina.
Now Hawaiian Electric is pointing the finger back at the County of Maui. It asserts it had de-energized powerlines ahead of a second wildfire that broke out on the island in the afternoon.
The utility said power lines toppled by high winds likely caused the morning brush fire in Lahaina but electricity had been off for hours when a second fire occurred that afternoon.
Hawaiian Electric’s stock soared more than 40% on Monday.
“We were surprised and disappointed that the County of Maui rushed to court even before completing its own investigation,” Hawaiian Electric CEO Shelee Kimura said in a statement Sunday. “We believe the complaint is factually and legally irresponsible.”
“Unfortunately, the county’s lawsuit may leave us no choice in the legal system but to show its responsibility for what happened that day,” Kimura said.
This is consistent with an earlier video report that captured the start of the first wildfire, which was likely caused by a powerline. However, a second one was reported to have started several hours later.

Currently, 115 remains have been retrieved, with only 43 publicly identified. The list of missing has been narrowed to 388.

If true it only adds to the mysterious Lahaina incineration. I’m waiting to hear an explanation of how it came to be that five prior Hertz-rented Secret Service vehicles in Nantucket spontaneously combusted in late Nov. ‘22. What was the message being sent to Biden (U.S. government) and by whom?

Well, they plummeted when the government’s lawsuit was announced. It stands to reason that they’d go back up when the utility made it clear it wasn’t going to roll over and intended to fight back.
I read that the fire department didn’t completely extinguish the original fire. It reignited and then spread.

This stuff is the last desperate acting out of the deep state. They are running out of moves but you need to be thinking for yourself at this point. The deep state still has some evil left.

If true, that sounds more like an EV fire...
The morning fire was supposedly put out by the fire department which left at 2 pm and at 3 pm a new fire was reported in the same general area, which subsequently grew out of control and burned down Lahaina.
This begs the question, was the first fire truly out, or did embers reignite after the fire team left?
Can you just tell me what that video is trying to say?
