Over the last six months, there have been three 20-something single male Youkers, fresh off the boat, living in the house where I rent a room. WTF are these boorish, lazy a-holes in Canaduh, rather than being over in Youcraint fighting for their ‘homeland’?
There are now TENS OF THOUSANDS of single, fighting age male Youkers in Canaduh, having arrived in the last 18 months. I hope that if this war continues and somehow PedoJoe doesn’t get us into WW3, that Canaduh sends these azzholes back to fight for THEIR country!
With my job, I meet plenty of people ‘fresh off the boat’ and I used to find the black Africans, Arabs/ mohamedans to be the worst. Unfortunately, most of the Youkers I meet, are right up there (or is it ‘right down there’ with the others I’ve listed. SEND ‘EM HOME!
Creative guesses would be:
They simply don't want to fight, whatever their political affiliation is. (Some estimates are that only ~ 10% of the population in the US' Revolutionary War were "significantly involved" on the Yankees' side, and considerably less were actually in any kind of "rebel" fighting unit.) 6 months ago -- who knows? They might be pro-Russians from Kherson, faking whatever they need to to get out.
They are pro-Russians from Ukraine, and part of Pooty's troll army here in the West.
They are criminals who used the disruption to get out.
I can think of other possibilities, some ok, some not so ok...

It is true that outside of true conscientious objectors (to fighting), it is the dregs of the single male group who will tend to not fight for their country. There is obviously also a large supply of "non-dregs" in Ukraine, or Russia would have rolled over Ukraine as fast as the Pooty tools and trolls were expecting in Feb. 2022.
On the other extreme are men who will fight simply because they like to fight and hurt / kill other people, with a "license" to do so.
(I recall the 1st time I ever heard the word "bouncer" as applied to an employee at a bar. "Why do they call him a "bouncer?" " "Stick around tonight (Friday). You'll probably see.")
My experience is that people vary in almost every country, some countries more than others. I'll take your word for it that those three you describe really are boors. And my Dad's older Ukrainian friend "George" (he'd been through both the Nazi Germany and Soviet occupations of Ukraine B4 he finally fled the Commies in the late 1940's) was one of the "coolest" (as in admirable) guys I've ever known.
Would like to hear more about this previously undisclosed area of , uh, “immigration” as you directly experience it.
