We've had two great Presidents in our lifetime. The first was Reagan, the second was Trump.
Of the two, Trump had a much harder job. He had to deal with the leftist commitment to lie, cheat and steal, to do ANYTHING to get rid of him.
I loved Reagan and what he did. I love Trump and what he did. They both brought pride back to America.

Nice recap of the particulars. Made me think how Trump, a television personality, became president. His timing was right culturally, as was his knack for driving a few well known dynasties out of politics—and as a traditional, patriotic American, I am glad for it.
Of course, the rub always comes in finding the right candidate who most understands the American electorate, not intellectually but because he/she shares and supports their values. Like Trump did.

We can have differing opinions. I for one wouldn’t see Reagan allowing a man like Trump walk in his shadow.

But for different reasons.
It took me a long time to internalize and admit how much the terms in office of Reagan (and Thatcher) were a disaster to the Right.
You mean when Trump won bigger than Reagan ever hoped to, and then they stole the election?
No I am looking at reality not treating Trump like a cult member. He had his chance in 2016 to be a real hero and that was taking on the Insurance Cartels and Healthcare Cartels like he talked about.
All he had to do was to go after all of them with Sherman Aniti-Trust, Wright-Patman and RICO using the DOJ and lower medical costs by at least 80%. Then we would have been able to save Medicare, SS, and the Debt problems once and for all.
But you see he didn’t and that was his real failure as President, among other things.
OK, sure. Reagan won 44 states in 80, 49 in 84. Trump drew an inside straight on election night in 2016 and we are all thankful for that. But he only won 30 states that year and lost the popular vote. Then proceeded in 2020 to lose 5 states that he won in 2016 and lose the popular vote by almost 5%.
I was glad Trump won and thankful for three Supreme Court justices but to claim he was a better candidate or President than Ronald Reagan is just being willfully stupid.
Clearly, you don’t see what really happened in 2020.
