Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo harshly criticized COVID-19 mask mandates and lockdowns, and urged people to consider "refusing to participate."
"What do you call re-imposing mask policies that have been proven ineffective or restarting lockdowns that are known to cause harm? You don't call it sanity," Dr. Ladapo posted last week on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. "These terrible policies only work with your cooperation. How about refusing to participate…"
Some schools and companies are implementing mask mandates amid a rise in COVID-19 hospitalizations, even though some peer-reviewed research has suggested that face coverings may cause more harm than good.
The most recent data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that COVID-related hospitalizations hit more than 12,600 during the week ending Aug. 12, up 21.6% from the previous week, but it is still far below the high of more than 150,000 in January 2022.
Research scientist Dr. Robert Malone told Just the News last week that he is against implementing further COVID-19 mandates.
"I personally believe that this is more fear porn. It's not justified," he said.
Florida dropped all COVID-19 restrictions early in the pandemic, in September 2020. The state legislature earlier this year considered legislation that would ban COVID-19 vaccine and mask mandates.
Ladapo is great!
This is a voice in the wilderness. We should hear echos everywhere.
Repeat it, write a letter to your paper, etc.
Great idea. Just be prepared to lose your job, remove your kids from public schools, be unable to shop for groceries, and have your benefits held hostage (particularly those on government support/Social Security/Medicare). If someone doesn’t believe this can’t happen, they haven’t been following closely the past 3+ years.
I’m not saying to capitulate. Just be aware of the possible consequences.
No more mask and never a jab. Lock me up I ain’t doin it.
All these tough Republicans telling people to not comply is not enough. They need to sue the fed, enact state law banning masks and mandates, arrest any state officials, school boards, hospitals, etc. who are insisting on masking.
Take action NOW. Enough with the words. The left doesn’t care about strongly worded letters or tweets.
Will he be tried for insurrection?
Simply do what the Left does and has been doing in these situations for all of my life. Protest LOUDLY where they can’t avoid hearing you.
How the “Unvaccinated” Got It Right

Some time ago, Scott turned those skills to commenting insightfully and with notable intellectual humility on the politics and culture of our country.”
Like many other commentators, and based on his own analysis of evidence available to him, Scott opted to take the Covid “vaccine.”
Recently, however, he posted a video on the topic that has been circulating on social media. It was a mea culpa in which he declared, “The unvaccinated were the winners,” and, to his great credit, “I want to find out how so many of [my viewers] got the right answer about the “vaccine” and I didn’t.”
“Winners” was perhaps a little tongue-in-cheek: he seemingly means that the “unvaccinated” do not have to worry about the long-term consequences of having the “vaccine” in their bodies since enough data concerning the lack of safety of the “vaccines” have now appeared to demonstrate that, on the balance of risks, the choice not to be “vaccinated” has been vindicated for individuals without comorbidities.
What follows is a personal response to Scott, which explains how consideration of the information that was available at the time led one person – me – to decline the “vaccine.” It is not meant to imply that all who accepted the “vaccine” made the wrong decision or, indeed, that everyone who declined it did so for good reasons.

Will masks allow the virus to go through the holes in the mesh like smoke from a backyard barbecue goes through the back screen door?
Do the records show locked down people in states like Michigan did worse than open ones?
With honest statistics and freedom of speech to disagree with official CDC and Fauci type opinions?

When, since early 2020, did the feds threaten to cut off social security and Medicare from people if they didn’t go along with the covid coercion?
Because he holds a different opinion than the Left’s “medical experts”, I wonder if the Democrat/Communists dare label Dr. Ladapo an “Uncle Tom” as they did Larry Elder and Justice Thomas ....?
They can’t take away our benefits such as Social Security or Medicare because they’re not entitlements, and they never took them away last time. I agree about the other things, but they will never be able to fully enforce those regulations because too many of us know that the CoVID response in 2020 was medically unnecessary and just a form of control. Liberals will do as instructed, of course, because they’re incapable of rational thinking.
That might have been true at the time but Biden is issuing the emergency order now.
And if he didn’t, the media would have screamed bloody murder and then the Dumbocrats would have started impeachment charges against him, and even the Senate would have voted to remove him because the hysteria was that crazy 3 years ago. It’s so easy to be a Monday morning quarterback when it’s safe. And how would DeSantis have fared in the same situation? He shut Florida down too, so he obviously had no problem with it.
Social Security IS most certainly an entitlement. You contributed, therefore, you are entitled to the funds.
